About The Artist

Lawrence A Williams has been creating art and illustration professionally since 1988, which also happens to coincide with the meeting of his wife and business partner Victoria.

When he began his academic pursuit, because of the lack of information concerning focused art institutions he attended liberal arts schools for a few years and steadily grew bored with the academic process. Based on the advice of a few of his more plainspoken instructors he began to pursue professional illustration assignments outside of school. As it turned out he became very successful and found that his contracts were outpacing his ability to finish them and do schoolwork concurrently. He left the academic arena to work full time as a professional illustrator.

When beginning his career L.A. primarily sought out fantasy and horror genre assignments. As time progressed his work has appeared in nearly every genre associated with the RPG and CCG fields. Winning recognition both Nationally and Internationally, Lawrence began to pursue more and more of his own ideas and expressions until finally making another leap into self publishing. This led him to create his own print and retail sales venues both on the web and in markets across the country.

Currently L.A.Williams is exploring the field of book publishing (both writing and illustration). He has shared credit with his sister-in-law and award winning artist Ruth Thompson in the production of The Book of Angels, released in October 2006 (now in second printing). His first solo project, The Book of Knights, is scheduled to be released in October of 2008, by Barnes and Noble.
